I love working with beatboards. It’s a simple and intuitive way for me to start any project. Even when I’m working on a TV series, I always begin by breaking down the script into the main “beats.” It’s usually less detailed than what you see here: I often keep it at the thumbnail stage, but it helps me clearly understand the direction to follow once I move on to the storyboard or animatic.
